Kirsty Dove • Oct 27, 2021

You start at the beginning...

More easily said than done!

You may have spent time creating content for an online course.  It might contain one or many ideas, images, videos, quizzes, downloads... and it's time to take it out there and sell it.  The best way to do this is on a website that can handle courses and/or subscriptions.  It is really important that you know the difference between these options, as this will dictate what steps and options would work best for you.

These platforms are typically called an LMS - Learning Management Systems.  A way to get learning delivered to your customers, via an online tool.

There are a number of questions that you need to ask yourself first:

80% of people ignore paid searches and only click on organic listings. What does this mean exactly? It doesn't mean that you don't have to do any Google advertising, as in some instances that is the best option. But what it does mean is that it is importing to get your website ranking - if you can. If your business is in a super high competition industry, then there are other options, one of which is Google AdWords, but this could be an expensive option. My first go-to is to get your organic search as good as you can and build from there. So how do you get good Organic search? If your website is fast, efficient, complex enough (but not too complex), has all the good code-y type stuff that your website builder should have done when creating the website - then is all about the words!
